Building material calculators: quantity and delivered cost
Work out how much you need and what it costs at your site. The quantity calculators turn a built-up area, slab, wall, plaster or road into typical tonnes, bags and pieces; the delivered-cost estimator prices any of our crushed-stone or stock items for any of our 118 areas from the live price list.
Typical estimates: the quantity figures are rules of thumb for planning and checking a quote. Your engineer's drawings and BOQ come first.
Delivered cost for your area
How to use it: pick the item, your delivery area and the quantity. Crushed stone adds transport for the distance from our crusher and 5% GST, with royalty at actuals; stock items add delivery on weight from the nearest yard.
What will a load cost at my site?
Indicative only. Crushed-stone transport and stock-item delivery are confirmed per order; royalty is billed at actuals.
- Crushed stone: ex-works rate per weighbridge tonne + transport for the area (3.8–5 ₹ per MT per km slabs) + 5% GST; royalty at actuals.
- Wholesale stock: yard price + delivery on weight from the nearest yard or factory area holding the item, assuming a full lorry; GST as shown.
- 1 unit = 100 cft ≈ 4.1–5 MT of aggregate depending on the material; a 10-wheeler carries 16–20 MT.
Indicative delivered cost
Indicative ₹ per MT per km slabs used only by the delivered-cost estimator. Actual transport is quoted per order (distance, diesel ~₹100/L, vehicle availability, unloading conditions). Royalty (AP seigniorage fee, DMF and MERIT as applicable) is itemised separately on every invoice.
Materials for a house, by built-up area
How to use it: Enter the built-up area; add plinth filling if your plot needs it. Pick your area to see delivered prices for the priced lines.

Typical estimate: for an RCC-framed G+1 house, from the per-1,000 sq ft figures in our quantity guide (400 bags of cement, 3.5–4.5 t of steel, 35 MT of 20mm jalli, 38 MT of M-Sand, 11,500–12,500 bricks per 1,000 sq ft); the engineer's BOQ governs. The block figure assumes the same wall area at 108 blocks per 100 sq ft. Delivered prices come from our live price list; cement is arranged through partner suppliers and carries no price here.
Cement, sand and jalli for concrete
How to use it: Enter a slab size in feet and inches, or a volume in m³, and choose the nominal mix.
| Item | Typical quantity | In loads / units |
|---|---|---|
| Results appear here (JavaScript is needed for the calculator). | ||
Typical estimate: Nominal-mix estimate (IS 456 allows nominal mixes up to M20): dry volume = wet volume × 1.54, split by the mix ratio; cement at 1,440 kg/m³ in 50 kg bags. A design mix from a lab or an RMC plant overrides it.
P-Sand and cement for plastering
How to use it: Enter the wall area, the plaster thickness and the cement : sand mix.
| Item | Typical quantity | In loads / units |
|---|---|---|
| Results appear here (JavaScript is needed for the calculator). | ||
Typical estimate: dry mortar volume = area × thickness × 1.33, P-Sand at 1.62 t/m³, cement at 1,440 kg/m³ in 50 kg bags. Wastage on site is extra.
Bricks for a wall
How to use it: Enter the wall area and the doors and windows; pick a 4½ or 9-inch wall.
| Item | Typical quantity | In loads / units |
|---|---|---|
| Results appear here (JavaScript is needed for the calculator). | ||
Typical estimate: for 230 × 110 × 75 mm bricks with 10 mm joints, plus 5% for breakage; the first column of each row is the number to order.
Concrete blocks for a wall
How to use it: Enter the wall length and height and the openings; pick the block face.
| Item | Typical quantity | In loads / units |
|---|---|---|
| Results appear here (JavaScript is needed for the calculator). | ||
Typical estimate: 11.6 blocks per m² for a 400 × 200 mm face with 10 mm joints (12.5 for 390 × 190), plus 5% for breakage. Thickness (4, 6 or 8 inch) does not change the count.
TMT bar weight and value
How to use it: Pick the bar diameter and enter the number of rods and their length.
| Item | Typical quantity | In loads / units |
|---|---|---|
| Results appear here (JavaScript is needed for the calculator). | ||
Typical estimate: Weight per metre = d² ÷ 162 kg (the standard figure for steel bars). The value uses our wholesale yard price per kg for that diameter, before 18% GST and delivery, when the price list has one.
Crusher dust or GSB for plot filling
How to use it: Enter the plot area and the fill depth in any unit; pick crusher dust or GSB.
| Item | Typical quantity | In loads / units |
|---|---|---|
| Results appear here (JavaScript is needed for the calculator). | ||
Typical estimate: compacted volume × compacted density, plus 5%. Loose material settles; order by the tonne and compact in layers.
GSB or WMM for a road layer
How to use it: Enter the road length, width and the compacted layer thickness.
| Item | Typical quantity | In loads / units |
|---|---|---|
| Results appear here (JavaScript is needed for the calculator). | ||
Typical estimate: length × width × compacted thickness × compacted density. The contract drawing and the MoRTH layer thicknesses govern.
