Madhavaram, at the northern edge of the city, has the Madhavaram Mofussil Bus Terminus, the Milk Colony and the Chennai Metro Phase 2 depot works. RMC plants in this belt order 20mm and 12mm with washed Zone II M-Sand on monthly schedules; block and paver units around Madhavaram and Kolathur take 6mm chips and crusher dust.
It is also one of our six stock yards, so stock items for North and Central Chennai usually leave from here rather than from the crusher.
