Finer, washed sand for wall plaster, rendering and fine mortar.

Plastering sand is a finer manufactured sand — essentially all passing 2.36 mm, with more medium and fine particles than concrete sand — so plaster spreads smoothly, holds on the wall and finishes without pitting. It sits in IS 383 Zone IV and is graded to IS 1542, the Indian Standard for sand for plaster.
Ours is washed like our M-Sand so the dust fraction is controlled; using unwashed crusher fines for plaster is the usual cause of cracking and dusting. Builders normally take one P-Sand load after the slab loads, when plastering starts.

Produced to IS 383:2016 gradings (M-Sand Zone II, P-Sand to IS 1542, GSB/WMM to MoRTH Section 400). Gradation, silt, crushing value and flakiness are tested through accredited third-party laboratories; certificates accompany every bulk contract.

Most requested in
Plastering sand arrived clean and well washed, with very little clay. Finishing was good across the entire apartment block. A small delay on one load was made up the next morning without any argument.
Have used their P-sand for three independent houses so far. Cracks in the plaster are minimal compared to earlier suppliers. The rate per unit stays steady and they deliver to Ponneri without extra drama.
GSB supplied for our approach road passed the density tests first time. Gradation was exactly as per our specification sheet. Their team even arranged night-time delivery for our traffic window.

P-Sand — questions buyers ask
What is the difference between M-Sand and P-Sand?
M-Sand is coarser (Zone II, up to 4.75 mm) for concrete strength; P-Sand is finer (95–100% passing 2.36 mm, Zone IV) for workable, crack-free plaster. Using M-Sand for plaster gives a rough, hard-to-finish coat; using P-Sand in concrete lowers strength.
Can M-Sand be used for plastering?
It can be, but the finish is coarse and needs more cement paste. For 12–15 mm plaster coats specify washed P-Sand.
What is the P Sand 1 unit price?
We sell by weighbridge tonne; one unit (100 cft) of P-Sand weighs roughly 4.4–4.8 MT. Multiply our per-MT delivered figure by about 4.6 to compare with per-unit quotes — tonne pricing means you pay for the weight actually loaded, not a heaped volume.
How much P-Sand does a house need?
Roughly 1 MT of P-Sand per 250–300 sq ft of 12 mm plaster on both faces, depending on mix; a 10-wheeler load (≈ 18 MT) covers a typical 1,500–2,000 sq ft house inside and out.
