Anna Nagar West is the western side of the Anna Nagar township, out to the Inner Ring Road, where the large Anna Nagar West bus terminus stands; its nearest metro station is Thirumangalam. It grew with the rest of Anna Nagar after the 1968 trade fair and has no post office of its own, sharing Anna Nagar's 600040.
