Manali New Town (Manali Pudhunagar) is a residential township the CMDA laid out in the 1980s north of Manali, along the Tiruvottiyur–Ponneri–Panchetti Road, with its own post office (600103). Unlike Manali's refinery and fertiliser belt, its Phase I and II layouts are zoned residential, though its position between the Kamarajar, Chennai and Kattupalli ports has drawn container freight stations and truck parking around it.
