Elephant Gate (Yanai Kavuni) is an old north Chennai neighbourhood next to Sowcarpet, Flower Bazaar and Vallalar Nagar, beside the railway lines from Basin Bridge into Chennai Central that the Elephant Gate bridge crosses.
