About Erukkancheri
Erukkancheri lies on Erukkanchery High Road, the stretch of the GNT Road between Vyasarpadi and Moolakadai, and the Captain Cotton Canal runs through it. Farm wetlands until the 1970s, it joined the Chennai Corporation in 1978 and was built up as a residential area from the 1980s. Work is house rebuilds and extra floors in the side streets and shop buildings on the high road.
