About Kaladipet
Kaladipet is a neighbourhood of Thiruvottiyur on Thiruvottiyur High Road, between Tollgate and Thiruvottiyur Theradi. Its name comes from Colletpet, after Joseph Collett, the early-18th-century President of Madras who paid for its Kalyana Varadharaja Perumal temple, and its Blue Line metro station, earlier named Thangal, opened in 2021.
