About Kattupakkam
Kattupakkam is on Mount–Poonamallee Road between Iyyappanthangal and Kumananchavadi, about a kilometre from the Iyyappanthangal bus depot, and has its own station on Chennai Metro Phase 2's Poonamallee–Porur–Vadapalani line. Its Chendurpuram area is home to the Vada Chendur Murugan temple, and its village panchayat is among those named in the January 2025 order for merger into Avadi City Municipal Corporation. Apartment buildings and independent houses fill the streets on both sides of the road, with new apartment projects on smaller plots.
